Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s growing rental evolution

A new wave of luxury rental apartments is in the pipeline for downtown Fort Lauderdale as developers hope to cash in on growing demand from young professionals and millennials. As they say, build it and they will come. Nearly 3,400 rental units are either planned or currently under construction in the city, according to a newly released spring report from CapasGroup Realty Advisors. Another 3,059 units are in the proposal stage. The number of units now in the pipeline has blown past what’s been delivered in Fort Lauderdale over the past 12 years. First new condo project in more than decade comes to Palm Beach island

Sketches of 3550 South Ocean New York and San Francisco-based developer DDG is about to start taking reservations for the first condo project built on Palm Beach’s barrier island in more than a decade. The luxury development, which fronts the Atlantic, is named 3550 South Ocean. It will consist of a six-story building with 30 condos ranging from about 2,800 to 3,400 square feet. Units will have floor-to-ceiling windows, with ceilings up to nine feet in height. The building, at 3550 South Ocean in South Palm Beach, will include a fitness center, an oceanfront swimming pool and private beach access. Sonoma Isles is coming to Jupiter, Florida

Sonoma Isles in Jupiter A new development is coming to Jupiter, Florida. Being built by DiVosta Homes, Sonoma Isles will be offering gorgeous homes centrally located to the interstates. A sign is already posted and noticeable off the interstate 95. Sonoma Isles, which was one referred to Lakewood in Jupiter will be developed west of the turnpike off Indiantown Road in Jupiter. Plans call for about 275 lots where the land clearing and development has already begun. DiVosta expects to begin sales by December 2015.
